The sunny, summer days in Colorado beg us to get out and enjoy the absolutely stunning outdoors right here in our own backyard. This summer, take advantage of all the recreational fun to be had at the Rueter-Hess Reservoir. The whole family can head out to the Reservoir and take a free, guided tour. Learn all there is to know about this relatively new addition to the area.
There is also the Avid 4 Adventure Children’s Day Camp (pre-registration is required.) In a technology driven world, many children are discounnected from the nautral world that is literally all around them. Avid4Adventure Camps, currently run in Colorado, Californaia and Oregon, introduce kids to the power of the outdoors and empowering outdoor adventures. If you and the family are looking for a little water adventure, check out Paddle Days! Bring your own SUP’s or Kayaks and enjoy the water. Registration begins this month and onsite inspection of water craft is required. Paddle Days for 2019 are May 6th, June 8th, 15th and 23rd, August 11th, 17th and 25th and September 2nd, 8th, 21st and 22nd. Go to rhrecreation.org for more information.
Colorado SUP Sports will have Paddle Board/Kayak rentals and lessons for those looking to get in on the fun that don’t have their own equipment or are looking to try something new. Rentals and lessons are available late May through September, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, however pre-registration is required.
